Louth School Girls League

The Louth School Girls League (LSGL) is one of Ireland’s fastest-growing girls’ football leagues, established in 2019 to create inclusive and developmental playing opportunities for girls across County Louth. With over 1,500 players from U7 to U16 now involved, the LSGL provides a structured, supportive environment that promotes participation, skill development, and enjoyment of the game.

From small-sided blitzes for younger age groups to competitive formats for older players, the league is rooted in fun, fair play, and long-term player development.

Supported by Louth Local Sports Partnership

The growth and success of the Louth School Girls League has been strengthened through valuable support from Louth Local Sports Partnership. The LSP has played a key role in:

Promoting female participation in sport through awareness campaigns and visibility.

Supporting coach development with access to training and workshops.

Providing funding assistance for essential equipment and participation initiatives.

Partnering on inclusive pathways, ensuring that every girl in Louth has access to football regardless of ability or background.

This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to creating equal opportunities for girls in sport, aligning with both LSGL’s mission and Louth LSP’s strategic focus on teenage girls participating in sport.
