Louth Local Sports Partnership is inviting applications for the position of Sports Development Officer (Grade IV), as part of Louth County Council.
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated professional to play a key role in increasing participation in sport and physical activity across County Louth, with a strong focus on inclusion, community engagement, and partnership working.
About the Role
The Sports Development Officer will work as part of the Louth LSP team to plan, develop, coordinate and support sport and physical activity programmes that respond to local need while aligning with national policy and Sport Ireland priorities.
The role has a particular emphasis on:
- Supporting people with disabilities and other under‑represented groups
- Developing inclusive participation opportunities
- Working collaboratively with community groups, sports clubs, National Governing Bodies of Sport, education and disability organisations
- Monitoring, evaluating and reporting on programme outcomes
Rather than delivering everything directly, the role focuses on building capacity, strengthening partnerships, and ensuring high‑quality, sustainable participation pathways across the county.
