Sports clubs and community organisations across County Louth are encouraged to begin preparing for the upcoming Community Sports Facilities Fund (CSFF) 2026/27, which will open for applications on Monday, 19 October 2026.
The fund provides significant investment opportunities for clubs looking to improve facilities, develop infrastructure, increase accessibility or purchase equipment to support participation in sport and physical activity.
With registration opening in late September, now is the ideal time for clubs to review their development plans and begin preparing the documentation required to support a strong application.

- Registration Opens: 28 September 2026 (via the new SPRAOI online system)
- Information Guide Published: Week commencing 12 October 2026
- Applications Open: 19 October 2026
- Application Deadline: Friday, 26 February 2027 at 5.00pm
Funding Streams Available
Equipment-Only Grants
- Up to €70,000
- Available to eligible clubs and community organisations
- Not available to National Governing Bodies (NGBs) or Tier 2 applicants
Local Grants
- Up to €250,000
- Maximum grant rate of 95%
Regional Tier 1 Grants
- Between €250,000 and €550,000
- Maximum grant rate of 70%
Regional Tier 2 Grants
- Between €550,000 and €750,000
- Maximum grant rate of 70%
- Capital projects only (equipment costs are not eligible)

The Community Sports Facilities Fund offers clubs and community organisations an opportunity to invest in projects that can have a lasting impact on participation and community wellbeing. Funding can support the development of new facilities, upgrades to existing infrastructure, improved accessibility measures and the purchase of equipment that enhances the sporting experience for members and participants.
