Louth Clubs Invited to Contribute to Landmark Research on Inclusive Gaelic Games

Louth Local Sports Partnership is encouraging GAA clubs across County Louth to take part in an important new research study being led by Dublin City University (DCU) in partnership with Louth GAA.

The study, “Building an Evidence Base for Inclusive Sport: A Process Evaluation of the GAA All-Stars Initiative,” aims to better understand how inclusive Gaelic Games programmes can be developed and strengthened, both locally and nationally.

As a key partner in the project, Louth LSP is committed to supporting opportunities for people with disabilities to participate in sport and physical activity. Findings from this research will help identify best practice, inform future policy, and contribute to the continued growth of inclusive sport across Ireland.

Who Can Take Part?

The research team is keen to hear from:

  • Clubs currently involved in the GAA All-Stars Programme
  • Clubs not involved in the programme
  • Coaches, volunteers, administrators, players, and anyone connected to their local club

Every perspective is valuable and will help create a clearer understanding of how clubs can become more inclusive and welcoming environments for all.

Why Get Involved?

By participating, clubs can help to:

  • Share their experiences of inclusive sport
  • Influence future policy and practice
  • Support the development of inclusive opportunities in communities
  • Contribute to a stronger evidence base for disability inclusion in sport
