Louth Local Sports Partnership (LLSP) is delighted to announce the launch of the 4th Annual Sports Club Volunteer of the Year Awards 2026, recognising and celebrating the outstanding contribution of volunteers who dedicate their time and energy to providing sport and physical activity opportunities throughout County Louth.
Every week, more than 450,000 people across Ireland volunteer in sports clubs, helping to create opportunities for participation in sport and physical activity within communities nationwide. Without these volunteers, there would be no teams coached, no pitches lined, no matches played, and no events organised. From early mornings to late evenings, volunteers give their time generously and selflessly, often without seeking recognition or reward.
The Sports Club Volunteer of the Year Awards provide an opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate these remarkable individuals whose efforts are vital to the success and sustainability of local sports clubs and communities.
The awards ceremony will take place on Monday, 9th November 2026 at the Carrickdale Hotel, where one volunteer from every nominated sports club in County Louth will be honoured for their dedication and contribution.
Each sports club in Louth is invited to nominate a volunteer who has made an exceptional contribution to their club and local community. The 2025 awards recognised volunteers from over 100 clubs across the county, highlighting the depth and breadth of volunteer commitment within Louth sport.
