Go for Life Grant Scheme for Sport and Physical Activity for Older People 2015

This is available to groups who are specifically encouraging and promoting opportunities for older adults to participate in sport and physical activity.

Coca Cola “Thank you Fund”

The ‘Coca-Cola Thank You Fund’, which is being supported by The Wheel and The Northern Ireland Council for Voluntary Action (NICVA), has been developed to support innovative projects and initiatives that are helping people and communities adopt and enjoy more active lifestyles. 2015 Sports Capital Programme –  Closed for Applications

The Minister of State for Tourism and Sport, Michael Ring TD, is pleased to announce the opening of the 2015 Sports Capital Programme for applications. A fund of €40 million is available for development of sports facilities and the purchasing of sports equipment.

Applications are now sought from sports clubs, voluntary and community groups, national governing bodies of sport and local authorities.  Third level colleges, Education and Training Boards and schools may only apply for funding jointly with sports clubs.

Application can only be made online at www.sportscapitalprogramme.ie.

  • Registrations will close at 5pm on Friday 10th April 2015.
  • The closing date for submitting applications is 5pm on Friday 24th April 2015.

Louth Local Sports Partnership Club Grant Schemes 2014

The goal of Louth Local Sports Partnership is to increase participation in Sport and Physical Activity in the Louth area. In line with this goal, Louth Local Sports Partnership is currently running two grant schemes. The grants are to provide financial support for initiatives run by sports and physical activity clubs in the Louth area who are working to increase participation.

  1. Sports Club Grant Scheme for Increasing and Sustaining Participation 2014
  2. Grant Scheme for increasing participation opportunities in sport and physical activity for PwD (People with a Disability)

Grants of up to €700 max. may be applied for. The closing date for receipt of applications is 4pm on Friday 8th August. Applications received after this will not be accepted. Application forms and scheme criteria please click Louth LSP Grant Application Form 2014

2014 Sports Capital Programme

On the 3rd July 2014 the Minister of State for Tourism and Sport Michael Ring announced grants of €40.5 million for 880 sports projects across the country. For a list of grant receipients please click here

Energy Fit – Grants for Energy Efficiency

National Lottery Funding

The Department of Health & Children has a National Lottery Discretionary fund in place which provides once – off grants to organisations, providing a range of health related activities.
