Louth Local Sports Partnership are offering students aged between 13-17 the chance to participate in the Level 1 Qualification Sports Leadership from the June 2019.
The Level 1 Qualification in Sports Leadership provides the ideal starting point for students who wish to develop their leadership skills. The course will be delivered by tutors trained by the Sport Ireland.
The syllabus is designed to develop generic leadership skills that can be applied to a variety of sports and/or recreational situations as well as contributing to the personal development of the learner. The Level 1 Qualification in Sports Leadership is a practical award in which learners must demonstrate their ability to lead others in simple sport/activity.
The qualification is based on the Sports Leader UK awards

The Level 1 Qualification in Sports Leadership consists of two primary units of learning including one hour demonstration of leadership:
The qualification will take approximately 18-20 guided learning hours on 6th, 7th, 8th & 9th of August 2019 .
The cost will be €30 per student for the entire Level 1 qualification.
