Louth Local Sports Partnership is delighted to launch the first ever ‘Your Club’ Volunteer of Year Awards 2023, to recognise and support the huge community of volunteers across Co. Louth who give their time to provide sport and physical activity opportunities across the County.
More than 450,000 people across Ireland volunteer in sports clubs and physical activity groups on a weekly basis thus ensuring opportunities to participate in sport and physical activity are provided to every community in the country. Without them there would be no teams coached, no pitches lined, no matches played or races run. They are there to support sporting clubs and communities from early morning to late at night without any expectation of recognition or reward.
Louth Local Sports Partnership is hosting this Awards ceremony to recognise and honour these people. The awards ceremony will take place on Monday November 6th in the Carrickdale Hotel.
Each sports club in Louth is eligible to nominate their volunteer of the year from their club who they feel should be recognised and celebrated for their contribution to providing sporting opportunities within their local community.
Who can apply? – To be eligible clubs / sporting organisations must:
• Be based in the Louth area and be affiliated to a Sport Ireland recognised NGB or disability organisation.
• Operate as a not for profit group and be open for public membership.
• Only one application per club
